Lori WidmerLori Widmer, who is perhaps best known among freelance writers for her  Words on the Page blog, has developed a reputation for excellent and forthright advice to writers. She's authored ebooks, including the Worthy Writers Guide where she encourages writers to recognize and accept their talents and not sell their skills too cheaply and Marketing 365: Daily Strategies for Entrepreneurs and Small Business.

She blogs about food occasionally at Eat Your Veggies and you'll find her professional site at LoriWidmer.com

Anne WaymanAnne Wayman has been freelancing longer than she cares to admit. Writers know her best these days through her blog, About Freelance Writing. She has a series of ebooks for writers and has a solid reputation as a ghostwriter and writing coach.

She has multiple blogs, including Writing With Vision, aimed at people who want to get a book written, and When Grandmother Speaks - there she explores spirituality, sustainability and love, life the universe and just about everything. Her professional site is found at AnneWayman.com.

The two met in a writers forum that Anne was then running for About.com. When that gig ended, the two stayed in touch, often consulting with each other, sometimes whining a bit, and generally supporting each other.

Anne said, "I knew I could count on Lori to tell me the truth about my writing or any business situation I'd gotten into. She was a huge help."

Lori agreed, saying, "Anne always had my back! We were simpatico. I was delighted when she asked me to co-moderate her original forum and devastated when she no longer was there."

Finally the penny dropped and the two realized they could create and offer a forum to writers that would do more than just duplicate the original - so they created About Writing Squared (from the two Ws of their last names) with the 5 Buck Forum as the center piece.

They both work hard to be in the 5 Buck Forum if not daily, at least every other day offering advice, answering questions and, yes, seeking advice from other freelancers.

Each also writes a blog post almost every other week on freelance writing that's available for members only.

The two partner to give webinars and work with other professionals who have information valuable to writers to present webinars. Members receive discounts on each of these events.

And both love to stop writing once in a while and just have fun.

They'd be delighted if you joined them.
